Overview

SodaStream Crafted Mixers are non-alcoholic cocktail mixers that help people make cocktails and mocktails at home—fast. The line needed to feel more elevated than traditional flavor syrups, while staying approachable, affordable, and unmistakably SodaStream.

The Challenge

Create a packaging and identity system that:

  • Lives comfortably in SodaStream’s brand world

  • Communicates “crafted” and premium without feeling exclusive

  • Makes the use case instantly clear (sparkling water + mixer, optional spirit)

  • Scales across multiple flavors with strong shelf readability

Approach

I built the system around three pillars: clarity, craft, and fun.

  • Clarity: strong information hierarchy and simple language that explains how to use it quickly.

  • Craft: illustrated “drink-top” moments that spotlight real ingredients and signal elevated flavor pairings.

  • Fun: bold typographic expressions and playful supporting touchpoints (coasters/social assets) that feel like a casual at-home bar moment.

Solution

The final identity system combines a clean, premium label architecture with vibrant, flavor-coded cues and an illustration style that makes each SKU feel distinct (like Pineapple & Jalapeño—tropical, spicy, and a little daring). Supporting assets extend the concept into lifestyle and educational moments, reinforcing the ritual: fizz, mix, enjoy—with a twist.
